The competition was assessed as projected images by a 3 judge team Des Clinton (Ireland), Tom Dodd (NWPA) and Richard Speirs (NCPF). Their scores are out of 15.
58 Small Clubs competed in the Small Clubs section. MACC came joint 44th with 196 points (65%) for our 20 images. Tamworth PC won with 243 points (81%).
In the larger clubs section, Wigan 10 came 1st with 262 (87%). 12 of the 86 clubs scored less than 196. Scottish clubs Dumfries, Carluke and Paisley Colour were in the top 8.
Each club submitted 20 digital images on a CD. Subject matter was entirely open but not more than 6 Natural History images were permitted.
In the Small Clubs section, no author may have more than 5 images and there must be at least 5 authors in the total entry.(In the full club section no author may have more than 4 images and there must be at least 8 authors in the total entry.)
Each participating club will receive a CD in August with a selection of images from the GB Cup. This will include at least one image from every club, all the individual award winners and the Top 3 clubs in each competition - sufficient to fill a club evening.
Some images may not be visible during club competition judging.
