Mid Argyll Camera Club

MACC projects

In 2005/06 we started a members' project on 'Weel Kent faces. Weel Kent places'.

The aim was to have a body of work from all members of the club that will be of interest to the local community as a whole. With this in mind the faces and places were reasonably local although with places the remit was widened to include most of the Argyll area. By the end of the season we had enough of a photographic print display to present it in a public place. We made arrangements to have display boards in the Community Education Centre, and the project was seen by very many people over a period of many weeks.

For the 2006/7 session we started a new project, on 'Argyll - History and Mystery'.

Members brought photos and ideas on 10th Jan 2007. We took it further on 28th February, with the start of a collection of proposed work and plans for display. As well as the programmed evenings set aside for this project, there are also occasions that can be treated flexibly should there be specific requests, eg outing to sites. We are also comsidering presentation via digital means - on CD and/or this web site.

For the 2008/9 and 2009/10 sessions we will start a major new externally-supported project which has developed from the 'Argyll - History and Mystery' project. See the MACC Dalriada Project.
